I am in the process of rebuilding my Integra GS-R. I am selling the Supercharger and going back to all stock motor but keeping the AEM intake and all the suspension work. Is there anything out there besides the AEM intake or a loud exhaust that will give me a few horsepower? I only put 15,000 miles on the engine with the blower and now I am rebuilding the engine. Is Jackson racing not telling the whole truth about the engine reliability. I had no detonation. This was all excellerated engine wear, so no aftermarket product like J&S Safeguard or the MSTBTM would have helped any. More horsepower = less engine life no matter what they tell you. Its just FACT...

I have to agree with you James but JR never said your car would not break down. How many miles were on your car b4 the blower went on? I have a suggestion......since you are building the motor you should build with *good upgraded components and then turbo or put the blower back on. How do you know you didn't have DETONATION? It doesn't sound like you had either one of the "Products" that you put in your post. I mean don't get me wrong, I feel for you man. Having to rebiuld the motor is no joke, but you trying to "RE-Staight" a fact that we all know (More=less) and place the blame on JR for messing up your motor won't really fly around here. We all take into concideration that the blower is taking life out of our motor but hey, just like smoking......WE ARE ADDICTED
As for the exhaust, Thermal is a great system that really allows your car to breath. I love mine and reccomend it to anybody who is in the market. Good luck

Thanks for the fast responses. I guess I am feeling kinda down and I have been addicted to fast cars for a while now. I sold my 12.89 second eagle talon and bought the Integra for a reliable car and I turn around and put a supercharger on it and I am right back where I was. So it is a misfortune for me, but I think I am going to learn my lesson this time. If I want a fast car then I need to have two cars. One to have fun with and the other for reliability. Thanks again

I guess I am out of the loop on this one.
but if you do rebuild a motor, for god sakes use forged internals. Its not that much more that using stock internals.

Now that is a damn good suggestion if I have ever heard one. I wish I could come across a "Reliable" car but I think I will just settle for a beater car that drives and turns and keep tweeking my Teg. No wI jsut gotta stop buying stuff for the teg ong enough to buy that beater

Yikes. I was counting on the Teg to be the "reliable" car. My next car is gonna be a JDM B16 Turbo Hatchback.
